We attended and helped out at the NFHR Bozeman Evaluation in Bozeman, MT in August. Phil offered carriage rides with Frode and Ildar, using Harland's antique carriage.

At this cones course the drivers have to plan their route through the cones course. There are tennis balls on top of the cones. The balls fall off if the cones are hit. It is a timed event. The fastest clean run with no penalties or balls down win the class.

We brought our pair of red dun Norwegian Fjord Horses to compete at the Hickory Knoll CDE in July.

Here Phil is driving the Cones course.

A CDE or Combined Driving Event has 3 parts to it. Driven Dressage,  Cones Course and a Marathon.

Our fjord geldings Frode and Ildar are doing a great job! We had fun! Phil is asking for more speed and they are going!

In late July we competed at the Skunk River HDT. A HDT is a competition with a driven dressage, a cones course and the obstacle part of a marathon course. Phil is driving our red dun pair Frode and Ildar, shown here at the dressage part of the competition. 

We are in one of the obstacles on the Marathon. Depending on the level you are competing at, you have to go through a number of  gates. 

We like to take our fjords out to the mountains and ride during the summer. This is Phil during one of our rides close to Mc Gregor, Montana.

On our way home we rode the trails close to Rapid City, South Dakota. Else riding Marcy, and Engberg is patiently waiting for the photographer to get done.

We lead tours to Norway and Norway and Sweden during the summer. In August we brought a group to Norway. We arrange rides for some of our travelers. This was up on the high mountains above Gudbrandsdalen. Phil is riding a native Norwegian horse, a Dølahest. 

We had 9 riders at Nordfjordeid, Norway riding Norwegian Fjord Horses this summer. A great time was had by all!

In the fall Phil likes to take our fjords out to the mountains to hunt. Our fjords will plow our garden, haul in our fire wood and maple sap, take us to competitions, hunting and so much more!
